Bradley J. Peterson

Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Bradley J. Peterson is the chief information officer (CIO) for Schwab Technology Services (STS) responsible for Schwab’s technology innovation, development, infrastructure and operations.

In addition to leading Schwab’s technology enterprise, Peterson also has responsibility for Project Services, which has accountability for the planning, coordination and financial management of all company-wide projects. He is also responsible for Offshore Services that leverages third-party offshore capabilities when appropriate.

Peterson rejoined Schwab in May 2008 from eBay, where he served as CIO for five years.

Prior to eBay, Peterson was the managing director and chief operating officer (COO) at Epoch Securities after its merger with Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. He has also held senior executive positions at companies including Epoch Partners, Schwab, Pacific Bell Wireless and Pacific Telesis (now part of AT&T).

He earned his master's degree in management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and a bachelor's degree in systems science and economics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
