Schwab on Campus |
Internships
What is Schwab looking for?
In 2008, Schwab preferred college students entering their junior or senior year with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Some MBA candidates and graduate students also received internship assignments. Among the Schwab departments hosting interns were client services, finance, human resources, marketing, operations and technology. How Do I Apply? When we confirm summer internships, we post the information in Job Search, under the key word "internship." Upcoming assignments and instructions will be available early in 2009.
To prepare for 2009 opportunities, you may register now and create a personal job profile. Be sure to select "Campus Programs" in the menu for "Relevant Work Experience." Once you find a good match with a posted description, please submit your resume online. You will be asked to respond to a few questions to help us identify top students for each assignment. What Can I Expect?During the application process, we usually select top candidates for interviews during March, April and early May. Those candidates will be invited to interview either in person (on campus or in our office) or over the phone.
If you are selected to be a Schwab intern, you will participate in orientation and other special activities.
In 2008, interns attended biweekly "brown bag" webinars and learned about current company issues. Interns also participated in at least one community service activity, such as volunteering at a soup kitchen. (0308-5237) |
