We offer a wide range of opportunities plus the support you need to help you go as far as you want to go. Here are a few tips to help you get started!

Recruiting Events

When starting your job search, take advantage of job fairs and other opportunities for recruiting and networking. Schwab attends recruiting events in key cities across the United States. Stop by and talk to us about what it's like to work at Schwab!

Resumes and Applications

When you're ready to apply for a job, make sure your resume is in great shape. We offer some "do's and don'ts" for creating a resume that will stand out.

You'll need your resume to be in top shape when you register for Schwab's talent network. After you register, upload your resume to our system using Microsoft Word (.doc) format. We recommend uploading rather than copying and pasting, which can cause formatting, tabs and special characters not to be readable. However, if you still prefer to use the paste function, be sure to copy the information from a plain text file for the best results. If you would like to include a cover letter, you will need to add the information as the first page of your resume.

Interview Preparation

It's a good idea to understand each company's hiring process so you have an idea of what comes next.

After registering with the Schwab talent network, uploading your resume, and applying for an open position, a Schwab recruiter will contact you only if you seem like a good fit for the job.

The first step will be a phone interview, and the About Schwab site is a great place to begin your research. Check the latest press releases and financial reports for a snapshot of Schwab. If you have additional questions, check out our Careers FAQs for answers to commonly asked questions.
