Resumes and Applications
When you're ready to apply for a job, make sure your resume is in great shape. We offer some "do's and don'ts" for creating a resume that will stand out.
You'll need your resume to be in top shape when you register for Schwab's talent network. After you register, upload your resume to our system using Microsoft Word (.doc) format. We recommend uploading rather than copying and pasting, which can cause formatting, tabs and special characters not to be readable. However, if you still prefer to use the paste function, be sure to copy the information from a plain text file for the best results. If you would like to include a cover letter, you will need to add the information as the first page of your resume.
It's a good idea to understand each company's hiring process so you have an idea of what comes next.
After registering with the Schwab talent network, uploading your resume, and applying for an open position, a Schwab recruiter will contact you only if you seem like a good fit for the job.
