National Financial Literacy Challenge Awards

Tens of thousands of America's high school students have begun competing for scholarships and other awards by taking the voluntary, online test sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.  The aim of the Challenge is to help focus national attention on the benefits of personal finance education for today's youth. The Awards are courtesy of Charles Schwab Foundation.

"Our goal is to improve the financial well-being of Americans through a combination of community outreach, consumer education and the highest level of business ethics. We want to break down the barriers that keep people from making the most of their money."

Our Involvement

We give back to the community in many ways.

  • Employee Giving: Employees bring Schwab values to life by donating their time, money and talents to support community causes.
  • Corporate Giving: We encourage employee philanthropy, provide financial support and sponsor charitable events through the independent, nonprofit Charles Schwab Foundation and The Charles Schwab Corporation.
  • Financial Literacy: Through websites, workshops, articles and books, we help consumers with the money issues that matter to them most. Read success stories from Arizona and New York.
  • The Environment: We want our impact to be large but our environmental footprint to be small – so we strive to use environmentally friendly practices in our workplace.
