The SEC is requiring large accelerated filers, such as The Charles Schwab Corporation, to begin filing in Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) for quarterly reports containing financial statements for fiscal periods ending on or after June 15, 2009.
The following files have been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in XBRL. XBRL is an XML-based language for the electronic transmission of business and financial data. XBRL is not an accounting standard; it is simply a standard for transmitting business and financial data.
