David G. DeVoe

David G. DeVoe is the director of mergers and acquisitions in the strategic client group at Schwab Institutional®, the enterprise committed to helping independent investment advisors grow, compete and succeed. He oversees Schwab Institutional’s mergers and acquisitions program strategy and manages relationships with holding companies, investment banks, private equity groups and large independent broker dealers.
Previously, he was director of practice management programs at Schwab Institutional. He has also been responsible for product strategy for Schwab Private Client.
Before joining Schwab in 2002, DeVoe led business development at Noosh, an e-commerce solution for the financial services industry. He also worked in the strategic planning group at American Express and, early in his career, he founded and managed several small businesses.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
DeVoe has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Worth magazine, Investment News and other publications. He has written articles for Financial Advisor and Registered Rep magazines.
