David Kastner

David Kastner specializes in international investment strategy and is a contributing author of the Schwab Market Perspective, as well as periodic articles published on Schwab.com. He is also responsible for the Schwab Center for Investment Research® Market Analysis Group, which provides daily and monthly commentary on the markets, and acts as the registered Research Analyst in charge of Schwab Equity Ratings® review.

Before joining Schwab in 1997, Kastner was in banking and futures trading.

Kastner earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Kansas. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and a licensed NASD General Securities Principal and NYSE Series 16 Supervisory Analyst.
