Dionisio E. Meneses Jr. is managing director and portfolio manager with Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. He has day-to-day co-responsibility for the management of the Schwab Global Real Estate Fund™.
Meneses analyzes Real Estate Investment Trusts and real estate operating companies to ascertain their respective investment merits from both a real estate and securities perspective. Meneses joined Global Real Analytics, LLC (GRA) in 1997 and, as part of the GRA real estate team, he advised Alliance Capital on its AllianceBernstein Real Estate Fund, Pinstripe I CDO and separate accounts. He was a principal architect for two proprietary models, one for real estate equity and the other for real estate debt.
Previously, Meneses was a portfolio manager with Marcus & Millichap, Inc., the then-parent of Essex Property Corporation. While with Marcus & Millichap, he analyzed and implemented real estate deals, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and developments. Since 1985, Meneses has engaged in virtually all aspects of real estate, including direct property investment, management, redevelopment and financing.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in quantitative economics and decision sciences from the University of California, San Diego.
