Jeffrey P. Ryan

Jeffrey P. Ryan serves on a team of equity analysts who conduct research to enhance Schwab Equity Ratings®, the unique analysis tool used by Schwab clients and several Schwab mutual funds to help identify timely stocks to buy or sell.  Ryan’s responsibilities include testing and integrating academic and practitioner research, supporting internal and external users in understanding and applying the ratings, and providing commentary on the ratings and their use.

Prior to joining Schwab, Ryan served as manager and economist at several firms including Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and McGladrey and Pullen. Previously, Ryan served as vice president of micro development at Ibbotson Associates, product manager of equity research systems at Zacks Investment Research and adjunct instructor of corporate finance at DePaul University.  He began his career as a financial analyst at Alta Enterprises.

Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Western Illinois University and his Master of Arts degree in economics from Southern Illinois University, as well as his Master of Business Administration degree in finance from DePaul University.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
