Investment Outlook

Among advisers surveyed in January 2009 for Schwab's Independent Advisor Outlook Study:

    • 42 percent of advisers plan to increase investments in fixed income
    • 32 percent plan to invest less but not eliminate cash holdings
    • 54 percent plan to keep current holdings in domestic equity investments.
