"Alexa: Ask Schwab about what's going on in the markets."
Recognized as a company that sees the world through clients' eyes, Charles Schwab is now adding digital voice and listening to the ways it addresses investors' needs. Schwab will be bringing investors financial and market information using voice-enabled search through Alexa, the Amazon virtual assistant.
"Today's investors interact with their finances through new channels that were never dreamed of even a few years ago," said Diane Russell, senior vice president of Digital Investor Solutions at Charles Schwab. She added, "Our Alexa feature captures all the convenience voice-enabled devices offer and combines that with the company synonymous with a modern approach to investing."
The new Schwab Alexa audio interface capability offers an intuitive experience to address many real-time investing questions that users may have. Accessible by anyone who has an Alexa-enabled device, the Schwab "skill" will allow all Alexa users access to information such as:
Market Update—Including original audio reports along with advanced market analysis.
Get a Quote*—Supports thousands of symbols, including stocks, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds, with coverage of the major U.S. exchanges.
Personalized favorites watch list—Get quotes of specific securities that users follow regularly.
Integrates with Echo Show—The Schwab skill includes visual interfacing with Amazon's Echo Show device, offering visual cards in conjunction with the audio information provided.
To add Charles Schwab to your Alexa device, open the Alexa app on your phone, go to the menu, and select Skills, or go to the Alexa Skills store on the Amazon website https://www.amazon.com/skills, then use Search to find the Charles Schwab skill.
