Schwabbies are united by a singular strategy: to see through clients' eyes. It's what drives our outstanding service to clients and one another, and our innovation and growth.
"Through clients' eyes,", I mean, it has special meaning for me.
So when I think about "through the clients' eyes."
What I think of "through clients' eyes."
I think "through clients' eyes," it means putting yourself in their shoes. Think about it visually, it would be literally taking off my high heels and stepping into somebody else's loafers.
It really goes back to the golden rule.
For everything that I do, I would make sure I would appreciate that on the flip side.
I was really excited today because I helped a client who is 98 years old get into his account to go paperless.
My oldest was 103, actively trading, trading every day, actively involved with his investments. And I loved those calls.
One of my favorite conversations to have with a client is someone who calls in and who says "I've never done this before. I'm young. Help." I can personally identify with that.
I'm going to help that client's needs get met and that's what gets me up in the morning and gets me to work every day.
If I was just learning to trade, how I would like to hear this message? Sometimes I think, you "You know, how would my dad like to get this information.?"
It's our job to understand and listen to what the client wants and deliver.
Schwab has the clients' backs more than anything else. It really makes you feel like you can trust people when you hand them your money.
It's a cascading ripple effect from an internal client to the external client.
You know, you helped somebody today, and, you know, there's a chain reaction from that. You know, I helped someone internally, then they turn around and help another client, so it's a good feeling knowing, you know, you're supporting a larger cause in what you do every day.
We're focused on what's right for the people that we're trying to provide services for. And that's really what matters, that's why we're here.
I've never come across somebody at Schwab whose goal was just to sell every product or get as much commission as possible, it's not what we're in it for.
I think that we hire people that truly care about people. And I think that if you are a caring person and when you come to your job that usually shows.
I'm proud to say I work for Schwab. I know when people ask me where I work I say, "I work at Schwab." And they're like, "ohOh, you work for a good company." And I know I do.

My name is Amy Reback and I'm a regional market executive at Charles Schwab.
I came to Schwab because it had such a tremendous reputation both in financial services and in the world of clients.
I became a client of Schwab and the people that I knew that had worked at Schwab they talked about it with such passion and they really felt connected. I could tell they were part of something that was bigger than themselves. And that was something that I did not have at the time and I really craved. So coming to work for Schwab was really fulfilling a need that I had not found elsewhere.
So Schwab is a great place for people to work who don't have a traditional financial services background, who are returning to work after maybe starting a family or even veterans because we have a tremendously supportive environment.
We have employer resource groups so people can connect\ with those that maybe have similar backgrounds as they do.
We are a company made of real people and we will train you to know as long as you have a passion for what we do and a passion for serving clients we can train the rest.

The Schwab Intern Academy provides juniors, rising seniors, and graduate students the opportunity to experience Schwab's culture of service while challenging them with a structured blend of learning programs, team-building activities, networking opportunities, and enriching work projects.

"Well, I've been a fan of Schwab since I was a teenager," Lauren Manza says with a laugh. "I became a client because I have a real passion for trading, and all of these years later I'm an employee!"
Lauren is a member of the 2017 Westlake, Texas-based Financial Consultant (FC) Academy cohort. Westlake, a suburb located between Dallas and Fort Worth, is an area of growth for Schwab.
"I've been with Schwab through good times and tough times, and it all goes back to Chuck. He gives us the moral compass of who we are as a company and how we see through clients' eyes. That has kept me here and it will keep me here."
In her current role, Annie manages a team of branch managers in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys the client focus. She is also an executive sponsor of Schwab's diversity strategy to support a unique and diverse workforce.
"I chose Schwab because they supported me right away in getting licensed. I was really looking for growth and opportunity, a place where I could build a career. I've now been here for 12 years."
Taeshima White is a managing director overseeing multiple client service and support teams in Westlake, Texas. She has two young boys and says her Schwab career has allowed her the time necessary to manage both her work and home lives.
"When I started by career in Corporate America, I found it difficult to integrate into the corporate culture. It took me 20 years of feeling I had to hide 'me' before I was selected to work for such an accepting company as Charles Schwab. Not only do I not have to hide anymore, but I am appreciated and honored for being who I am."
