Marie Chandoha

Chief Executive Officer, Charles Schwab Investment Management Inc.

Marie A. Chandoha is  CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. (CSIM), the investment advisor to the Schwab Funds®, Laudus Funds® and Schwab ETFs™ and one of the largest asset managers in the industry. Previously, she also served as President of CSIM from 2010-2018.

Chandoha has more than 35 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Schwab in 2010, she spent three years as the global head of the fixed-income business at BlackRock (formerly Barclays Global Investors). She previously served as co-head and senior portfolio manager in charge of the Montgomery fixed-income division at Wells Capital Management; a senior bond strategist at Goldman Sachs; and managing director responsible for the global fixed-income research and economics department at Credit Suisse First Boston. Earlier in her career, Chandoha held research positions at Morgan Stanley and The Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  

Chandoha earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University. She serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Governors of Investment Company Institute. She is also a director of the Charles Schwab Worldwide Funds and a trustee of the Schwab Funds, Laudus Funds and Schwab ETFs. She has been a trustee of the California chapter of The Nature Conservancy since 2011.
