"I'm passionate about the development of others," says Amy Ruegg, vice president of Specialized Solutions and Product Integration. "I have had the good fortune of working with amazing leaders at Schwab and I am so glad to have the opportunity to pass that experience on to others."
Amy grew up in northern California. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and graduated with degrees in political science and communication studies. After time working as a paralegal and at an advertising agency, she found her way into financial services.
"My Schwab career path has been unique. I worked in marketing for our electronic brokerage services when they first launched, and then left corporate life to raise my three children and work part-time," says Amy. "When I decided to come back to corporate life, it was easy to choose Schwab because of our values and culture." Now, Amy leads the Specialized Solutions and Production Integration team that looks to help employees meet our clients' modern wealth management needs.
It's Schwab's focus on putting clients first, plus the commitment to developing employees that keeps Amy here. She says that women should absolutely consider bringing their skills to the financial service industry, no matter their background. "A career in financial services is incredibly fulfilling and challenging. Whether you work directly with clients or support our advisors and representatives who do, the opportunity to help clients and their families realize their financial goals is a career filled with value."
