Senior Vice President, Digital Wealth Management
Tobin McDaniel leads Schwab’s digital wealth management efforts. This includes the responsibility for Schwab's digital advisory and automated investing services lines of business: Schwab Intelligent Portfolios® and Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Premium™. He also leads Schwab’s digital financial planning efforts. McDaniel is a member of the leadership team for Schwab's Digital Services organization, which is responsible for developing overall digital strategy, offers, and experiences to drive firm growth and deepen existing client relationships.
Prior to his current role, McDaniel served as chief of staff to Charles R. Schwab, founder and chairman of The Charles Schwab Corporation. McDaniel joined Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. in 2011 as a managing director of retail strategy, where he led strategy development and strategic initiatives for the Investor Services business.
Before Schwab, McDaniel worked at Nationwide Insurance, one of the largest diversified insurance and financial services organizations in the country. He also worked at McKinsey and Company as well as Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.
McDaniel earned a Bachelor of Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 registrations.
