David Botset is Managing Director, Head of Strategy, Innovation and Stewardship supporting Schwab Asset Management®. David works closely with Schwab Asset Management leadership and Schwab’s Investor, Advisor and Workplace Services teams to develop strategy for the asset management business and its product lineup, which includes mutual funds, ETFs, money funds, collective investment trusts, and separately managed account strategies. He also leads the firm’s Investment Stewardship Team.
Prior to his current role, David served in roles for Schwab Asset Management as managing director, leading equity product management and innovation, and was a vice president responsible for the strategy and product development of Schwab’s core products and solutions and the Schwab Money Funds. Before joining Schwab in 2012, David was at Guggenheim Investments for five years where he was responsible for the development of Guggenheim's U.S.-listed ETFs. In this role he oversaw the development of ETFs, and managed relationships with market makers, index providers and other service providers. Prior to joining Guggenheim, David spent 10 years at Nuveen Investments, in groups including investment development, internal sales, and service and advisor client services.
David earned a Master of Business Administration from the Booth School of Business at The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Indiana University. He holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
