Why Robin gives back to the fight against dementia.

August 26, 2026 Chelsey Sleator
After losing multiple family members to dementia, Robin found purpose and joy in giving back to research that could change the future for others.

Robin, a DAFGiving360® donor, lost her mother, her aunt, and her grandfather to frontotemporal dementia. Those losses created a deep desire to help fund work aimed at changing what's possible for other families facing the disease. Giving is a way for her to honor the people she's lost while investing in a better future for others.

But what surprises her most is the joy that comes with it. Giving has always mattered to Robin, but giving through her donor-advised fund feels easier—more immediate, and more connected to the people she wants to support.
