If you think of the famous quote “All for one; one for all,” you likely think of the novel The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. In Westlake, the Three Musketeers could refer to a special Schwab family of brothers who say they’re most excited to work together every day while serving Schwab clients. Meet the Richardson Schwamily: Ezra, Gabriel and Volney.
Question: It’s fun to meet the three of you! It’s not every day we meet a Schwamily of three brothers – tell us about yourselves.
Ezra: I’m Ezra. I’ve been at Schwab the longest – two years this summer – and I work as a client specialist in Advisor Services. We grew up in Flower Mound, a suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth.
Gabriel: I started at Schwab at the beginning of the year and am part of a NERD cohort here in Westlake. The NERD program at Schwab is the New Employee Recruitment Development program, which connects people early in their careers and transitions them into the work world of Schwab – specifically in Schwab Technology Services.
Volney: I’m the newest brother to the firm. I just started at Schwab in April and I work as a statistical analyst in the Digital Services enterprise.
Question: You all bring some really fun and unique skills here to Schwab – tell us about that.
Volney: I just graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a master’s degree in economics. I got my undergraduate degree from Oklahoma City University, where I was also captain of the men’s soccer team during my time there.
Gabriel: I have a computer science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. In my spare time I really love to skateboard and work on personal projects that help me develop my software skills.
Ezra: I went to the University of North Texas in Denton and while I was there began doing modeling work. I’ve done runway shows, photo shoots for magazines. I did a runway show for luxury brand Dolce and Gabana here in Dallas and was featured on their Instagram.
Question: That’s quite an assortment of skills and experiences you all bring to work. What do you all like best about Schwab?
Gabriel: I like being surrounded by the incredibly talented and driven engineers I’ve found here at Schwab. They help me grow and develop my talents every day.
Volney: In my short time at Schwab, what’s stood out to me the most is the people. Everyone has been so eager to help and gone out of their way to make me feel a part of the firm – even in our current remote reality.
Ezra: For me it’s been the overall culture at Schwab that I’ve enjoyed, and I think what I was able to demonstrate to my brothers to get them to join me here at the firm. It’s pretty cool to be a Schwamily.
