Rick Wurster

President, The Charles Schwab Corporation

Rick Wurster has served as President of The Charles Schwab Corporation since 2021. In his role, Wurster oversees Schwab’s client enterprises, wealth and asset management, Schwab’s Banking and Trust services, technology and operations. He also serves as Chairman of Schwab CharitableTM and is President and Chairman of the Charles Schwab Foundation.

Prior to assuming his current role, he served as head of Schwab Asset Management Solutions where he led money management and portfolio advice solutions, wealth management services, financial research, and market insights.

Before joining Schwab in early 2016, Wurster held leadership roles at Wellington Management and McKinsey & Company where he was a leader of the asset management practice and an Associate Principal.

Wurster earned a Master of Business Administration from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Science in economics from Villanova University where he graduated magna cum laude and was Captain of the golf team. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) designations. He also serves on the Board of Governors for First Tee.

Based out of Schwab’s corporate headquarters, Wurster resides in Texas with his wife, Jill, and their three children.
