2026 Modern Wealth Survey
Cryptocurrency is becoming part of how many Americans think about building wealth, according to survey findings.
Key findings
- Cryptocurrency investors plan to invest more. 60% expect to increase their holdings in the next 12 months—more than ETF owners (56%) or stock owners (52%).
- Long-term potential drives interest. Owners and those interested in crypto most often cite growth potential and portfolio diversification.
- Trust and understanding remain barriers. Among nonowners, nearly half cite scams or fraud, and two in five say they don’t understand how crypto works.
